Denny, a junior at Georgetown Prep, won three tournaments in one week. He shot par for three rounds (total score of 210) at the Frank Emmet Schoolboy, one under for two rounds (143) in repeating as Middle Atlantic Golf Association Junior champion and 12 under for two rounds (130) to win the Argyle Golf Club's men's stroke play title.
Susan Vigland
TRAVERSE CITY, MICH. > Cycling
Vigland, 40, broke from the pack at the 23-mile mark and went on to win the 57-mile women's open event by 51 seconds at the Superior Bike Fest, thereby earning the title of 2009 Michigan women's road race champion. Her time was 2:45:35.3; the following day she was second in the eight-mile circuit race (21:41.3).

Miguel Cartagena
PHILADELPHIA > Boxing
Miguel, a junior at Stephen A. Douglas High, won the 106-pound class at the USA Boxing national championships with a 7--5 decision. Since then he won his bout by decision in Team USA's dual match with Italy. Earlier this year he took the National Golden Gloves title at 106 pounds.

Robin Reynolds
MIAMI > Track and Field
Robin, a sophomore at William Turner Tech, won the intermediate girls' long jump (19' 4¾"), the 100-meter dash (11.68), the 200 (23.82) and the 400 (54.07) at the USA Track and Field youth championships. In May, competing for Miami Jackson High, she won the same events to help the Generals win the Class 3A title at the state meet.
Amanda Sobhy
SEA CLIFF, N.Y. > Squash
Amanda, a junior at North Shore High, won the girls' under-19 title at the ATCO Junior Open in Cairo, Egypt, then advanced to the semis of the women's pro event at the same site. The second-ranked U-19 player in the U.S., she also qualified for the national team, which will compete at the world junior championships in Chennai, India, later this month.
Joseph Gray/Christine Lundy
LAKEWOOD, WASH./SAUSALITO, CALIF. > Running
Gray, 25, and Lundy, 38, won the men's and women's races at the USA Mountain Running championships. Gray completed two 5.5-kilometer loops of the North Conway, N.H., course in 48:37, winning by 71 seconds. Lundy, whose time was 57:16, won by 52 seconds.
