Things I Think I Think

SI's fearless NFL expert opines on all the latest news, buzz and inside information. This is just a taste of what you'll get online.

1 I think Brady Quinn has taken his last significant snaps for the Browns. I believe Derek Anderson (below), even with his 2-of-17 performance on Sunday in Buffalo, will play the final 11 games of the season as an audition to see if in April, Cleveland will need to take its third first-round quarterback in 11 years. My hunch is that it will.

2 I think Dick Jauron would need a miracle to keep his head coaching job in Buffalo. That said, owner Ralph Wilson has not made an in-season firing of a coach since he let go of Hank Bullough 23 years ago. Wilson kept Gregg Williams to the bitter end of a 6--10 season in 2003, Mike Mularkey to the end of a 5--11 season in 2005.

3 I think Rashard Mendenhall is making Mike Tomlin's job a lot tougher in Pittsburgh. With the second-year back gaining 242 yards and averaging 5.5 yards per carry the last two weeks, what's coach Tomlin going to do when Willie Parker returns to action from his turf toe?
