Kelli Heiser
WATERTOWN, S.D. > Softball
Kelli, a senior at Watertown High, threw 43 2/3 of her team's 47 innings on a single day to help the Arrows go 6--1 and win the state Class AA softball tournament. She had a 1.44 ERA and 27 strikeouts, and also drove in six runs. During the regular season Kelli, who was named all-tournament and all-state, led the Arrows with 27 RBIs.
Nate Smith
HIGHLAND PARK, N.J. > Football
Nate, a senior running back--linebacker at Highland Park High, rushed for 367 yards and five touchdowns in a 44--21 win over Middlesex. The next week, in a 41--28 win over Metuchen, he ran for 341 yards and two touchdowns, and also scored on a 38-yard interception return and a 99-yard kickoff return.

Sue Butz-Stavin
EMMAUS, PA. > Field Hockey
Butz-Stavin, in her 34th year as the varsity girls' coach at Emmaus High, became the second high school coach in her sport to reach 700 victories when the Green Hornets beat Owen J. Roberts 6--3. She has led Emmaus to nine state Class AAA championships and 24 district titles, including the last 20 straight.

Charlie Caris
DES MOINES > Tennis
Caris, a freshman at Georgetown, went 3--0 in singles and 3--0 in doubles at the Bruno Classic, and a week later did the same thing at the Navy Gold Invitational. As a senior at Theodore Roosevelt High he won his third straight Iowa Class 2A singles title, won the coed championship with his sister, Libby, and helped the Roughriders win the team title.
Jamie Gillis
NORTH BILLERICA, MASS. > Soccer
Gillis, a senior goalie at Massachusetts-Lowell, broke the NCAA Division II record for consecutive shutout minutes by running her total to 1,232 in a 3--0 victory over Southern Connecticut. She did not allow a goal in 12 matches. Gillis was the 2008 Northeast-10 Conference goalkeeper of the year.
Joe and Jim Rosa
WEST WINDSOR, N.J. > Cross-country
Joe and Jim, juniors at West Windsor--Plainsboro North High, finished one-two at the 5K Shore Coaches Invitational (15:03.6 and 15:15.2) and then did it again at the 2.5-mile Manhattan College Invitational (12:03.8 and 12:08.8). Joe broke the course record at each meet.
