Sean, a junior at St. Xavier High, was the male cadet recurve winner at the U.S. National Outdoor Target Championships. Earlier this year he was the runner-up in that division at the U.S. National Indoors North Region, the Olympic Round of the Youth World Championship Trials and the Junior Olympic Archery Development Nationals.

Sarah Hagen

APPLETON, WIS. > Soccer

Hagen, a sophomore at Wisconsin--Milwaukee, scored in a school-record nine straight games, including all the Panthers' goals in wins over Detroit (2--0) and Wright State (1--0) that clinched the Horizon League regular-season title. She was fourth in points (42) in NCAA Division I and was named conference player of the year.

Jameson Taillon

THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS > Baseball

Jameson, a senior at The Woodlands High, had a single-game record 16 strikeouts to lead the U.S. to a 6--1 win over Cuba in the COPABE 18U Pan American Championships; the old record of 15 was held by current major leaguers Scott Kazmir and Jeff Manship. Earlier, Jameson was co-MVP of the Under Armour All-America game.

Alisha Glass

LELAND, MICH. > Volleyball

Glass, a senior setter at Penn State, helped the No. 1 Nittany Lions extend their winning streak to 88 games, averaging 11.75 assists and 1.92 digs per set in 3--0 wins over Michigan State, Indiana, Purdue and Ohio State. At week's end she led the Big Ten in assists (12.03 per game). In 2008 Glass earned All-America honors as Penn State won its second straight national title.

Pierre Etchemendy

DOUGLAS, WYO. > Football

Pierre, a senior running back--linebacker at Douglas High, set school single-game-touchdown (six), season-touchdown (26) and season-yardage (1,443) records in helping the Bearcats to a 9--0 regular season. As a junior he helped Douglas win the Class 4A title, earning all-state honors, and also won the 3A state wrestling title in the 171-pound division.

Aisling Cuffe

CORNWALL-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. > Cross-country

Aisling, a junior at Cornwall High, won her seventh straight race, the 3.01-mile Orange County Championship. She also won the Green Mountain Lake Invitational, SUNY Plattsburgh Invitational, Bowdoin Park Classic, Paul Short Run, Orange County Division III Championship (all 5K's) and the 2.5-mile Manhattan College Invitational.
