SETH DAVIS'S Three-Pointer
Kentucky's John Wall(below) is my leading contender for national player of the year. Wall had 16 points, seven assists and five rebounds for No. 4 Kentucky (8--0) in a 68--66 win over North Carolina last Saturday and could be just the second freshman—after Texas's Kevin Durant—ever to win the Naismith and Wooden awards.... Evan Turner's fractured back kills Ohio State's hopes for a Big Ten championship. The 6'7" junior, who was averaging 18.5 points, 11.4 rebounds and 5.9 assists for the 7--1 Buckeyes, was injured on a missed dunk and will be out for at least two months.... Watch out for William & Mary. A week after winning by 10 at Wake Forest, the Tribe (6--2) opened Colonial Athletic Association play by beating defending league champ VCU.
