Dalton, a freshman at Oklahoma, won his second straight all-around competition, in the No. 4 Sooners' victory over No. 8 Iowa, finishing first in the floor exercise, vault, rings and parallel bars. The week before he was first on the vault, parallel bars and high bar to lead OU to the team title at the Rocky Mountain Open.

Melissa Beyruti

UNION CITY, N.J. > Basketball

Beyruti, a senior guard at Kean, hit five three-point field goals in a 63--51 win over Richard Stockton to become the NCAA Division III career leader; through Sunday she had 380 three-pointers, including a D-III high of 79 this season. Earlier, in a win over Lycoming, Beyruti made 10 threes to set the school single-game mark.

Travis Flores

MESA, ARIZ. > Baseball

Travis, a senior third baseman at Desert Ridge High, hit eight home runs in the finals to win the International High School Power Showcase Home Run Derby. He had 17 homers total. As a junior Travis had a team-leading 13 doubles to help Desert Ridge win its first state Class 5A Division II title.

Kiley Neushul

GOLETA, CALIF. > Water Polo

Kiley, a junior attacker at Dos Pueblos High, was named MVP of the Santa Barbara Tournament of Champions after scoring six goals in a 10--6 semifinal win over Corona Del Mar and three in a 6--5 championship victory over Newport Harbor. Kiley was named to the U.S. senior national team in November.

Stephen Dennis

WEST CHESTER, PA. > Basketball

Dennis, a senior at Kutztown, became the school's alltime leading scorer during a 33-point performance against Shippensburg. At week's end his career total was 2,078 and he led NCAA Division II in scoring (27.2). Dennis also holds school career records for field goals (739) and free throws (525).

Kathleen and Joanna Stevens

BLACKSBURG, VA. > Track and Field

Twins Kathleen and Joanna, seniors at Blacksburg High, finished one-two in the 1,600 meters at the Liberty Invitational with times of 4:53.16 and 4:53.38. Joanna reversed the order in the 1,000 (winning in 2:55.80) and also took the 3,200 (10:29.13).
