Things I Think I Think
SI's fearless NFL expert opines on all the latest news, buzz and inside information. This is just a taste of what you'll get online.
1 I think Brett Favre's impending ankle surgery will have little to do with whether or not he plays this season, the same way something I heard the other day will have little to do with whether he plays. Favre (below) allegedly made this comment after last season: "I'm 100 percent positive I'll never put on pads again in my life." Let's wait and see.
2 I think the most mature thing I've heard from Michael Vick in a long, long time was at Eagles minicamp last Saturday when he said, "I'm blessed to have a job in the NFL.'' I hope he believes that. He should be pretty happy he's making $5.2 million while working his way back into what he hopes will be a starting role somewhere.
3 I think I have one question for Patriots fans: Do you think running back Laurence Maroney has incriminating photos of someone in the front office? The Pats just got 12 draft picks, and they still couldn't get someone to threaten Maroney after his terminally disappointing four-year stint?
