Touching 'Em All

Mapping the blasts from Jamie Moyer's past

On May 7, 47-year-old Jamie Moyer (above) became the oldest major league pitcher to throw a shutout. Now the Phillies southpaw is closing in on another milestone. At week's end Moyer, who has taken the mound for seven clubs in his 24-season career, had surrendered 501 homers—four behind the alltime record held by another Philly mainstay, the late Hall of Famer Robin Roberts. Moyer has been serving dingers for so long, he's been taken deep by fathers (Cecil Fielder, Tony Pe√±a Sr.) and their sons (Prince and Tony Jr.). As the chart shows, every big league city (including now franchiseless Montreal) has seen a Moyer gopher ball, some at multiple parks.
