Things I Think I Think
SI's fearless NFL expert opines on all the latest news, buzz and inside information. This is just a taste of what you'll get online.
1 I think one of the surprises of training camps come August will be the readiness of Brady Quinn in Denver. Broncos coach Josh McDaniels likes what he sees in Quinn (below) and has tinkered with his drop and delivery by slowing him down, which was vital since Quinn's drop resembled a person pulling a fire alarm. I still think Kyle Orton wins the starting job, but Quinn has a shot to unseat him.
2 I think it might be awhile before South Florida gets another Super Bowl after South Florida Super Bowl Host Committee chairman Rodney Barreto told ESPN.com, "The fix was in for New York.'' (Actually, it's New Jersey, Mr. Barreto.) More than a few NFL owners, particularly those who didn't vote for New Jersey, will remember that the next time Miami/Fort Lauderdale is up for the big one.
3 I think the cities with the best chance of getting the second cold-weather Super Bowl are Washington, Denver and Seattle. However, I don't think any of them will get one until the league sees how the New Jersey game works.
