Things I Think I Think

SI's fearless NFL expert opines on all the latest news, buzz and inside information. This is just a taste of what you'll get online.

1 I think the Seahawks have to be nervous about losing rookie left tackle Russell Okung (below) to a right ankle sprain last Saturday night against the Packers. Not only was left tackle the position of greatest need for Seattle entering this season, but the Seahawks are also frightfully thin there. Coach Pete Carroll may now face the prospect of having to move Sean Locklear back to the left side.

2 I think that was a great throw by Steelers backup QB Byron Leftwich to Mike Wallace for a 68-yard score against the Giants. I can't see Dennis Dixon, who also played well at the Meadowlands, beating out Leftwich for the Sept. 12 opener against Atlanta, but that doesn't mean Leftwich will play all four or six games Ben Roethlisberger misses while serving his suspension.

3 I think Raiders LB Kamerion Wimbley's four sacks in the first half at Chicago mean one of two things: The Bears are in huge trouble on the offensive line, or Oakland got a steal when it dealt a third-round pick to Cleveland for Wimbley. Or maybe both.
