Cat Not In the Hat BYU running back Bryan Kariya got a less obstructed view of the Wasatch Mountains—and of Washington linebacker Cort Dennison (31)—after a helmet-jarring hit by end Talia Crichton (beneath him) in the fourth quarter of their game in Provo last Saturday. Kariya, a junior from Kaysville, Utah, ran eight times for 20 yards in the Cougars' 23--17 victory.

Fallback Position Western Kentucky quarterback Kawaun Jakes was leveled by Nebraska tackle Jared Crick during their game in Lincoln last Saturday. Crick finished with six tackles and a quarterback hurry and Jakes was held to 120 yards passing with one interception as the Cornhuskers romped 49--10.
