RADCLIFF, KY. > Golf

Lydia, a sophomore at North Hardin High, took the Kentucky Invitational title for the fifth straight year, shooting a nine-under 61 to win by seven strokes. In 2006, at 12, she was the youngest athlete named Kentucky's Miss Golf, an award based on points earned in regular and postseason varsity tournaments. She also won the award in '08.

Futsum Zeinasellassie

INDIANAPOLIS > Cross-country

Futsum, a junior at North Central High, won the 5K Artesian Classic for the second year in a row with the nation's fastest time in 2010 (14:49.21). Two weeks earlier he won a second straight Brebeuf Invitational (15:52.60). In 2009--10 Futsum was the Indiana cross-country champion and also won his second 3,200 meters at the state track meet.

Amy Neal

AUSTIN > Volleyball

Amy, a junior outside hitter at Lake Travis High, had 76 kills over nine games at the Westwood Warrior Showcase, including 11 in a title game win over Lady Bird Johnson High to earn MVP honors. A week later she was named MVP of the Byron Nelson tournament, with 71 kills in eight games.

Adam Buckley

HERMOSA BEACH, CALIF. > Paddleboarding

Buckley, a 32-year-old entrepreneur, won the 32-mile Catalina Classic (5:34.06), finishing nearly seven minutes ahead of the nearest competitor. Earlier this year he won the unlimited division at the nine-mile Santa Barbara Cold Current, the eight-mile Hobie Waterman's Challenge and the 15-mile Waterman Challenge.

Anya Littlefield

PRINCEVILLE, HAWAII > Swimming

Anya, a junior at Kapa'a High, won the 200- (2:11.73), 400- (4:40.34), 800- (9:29.76) and 1,500-meter freestyle races (18:07.08), along with the 200 (2:27.55) butterfly in the 15-to-16-year-old division at the Hawaii long course championships, earning high-point honors for her age group. She also finished second in the 100 free (1:01.63).

Vanderbilt Hambrick

ALCOA, TENN. > Football

Vanderbilt, a junior running back and safety at Alcoa High, rushed for 212 yards and three touchdowns, including the winning score with 2:26 left, to lead the defending 3A state champion Tornadoes to a 35--31 victory over Maryville, the 6A runner-up in 2009. He also broke up three passes and had six tackles. In four games Vanderbilt has 548 total yards.
