Things I Think I Think

SI's fearless NFL expert opines on all the latest news, buzz and inside information. This is just a taste of what you'll get online.

1 I think Kyle Orton has really taken command of the Broncos' offense, and I don't say that just because he threw for 476 yards in a 27--13 loss to the Colts last Sunday. Tim Tebow was the third quarterback for the game, and that's a nod to the fact that Orton (below) is running the offense so well that coach Josh McDaniels doesn't think there's any point in taking him off the field right now to throw the Tebow changeup at the defense.

2 I think if I were a Jaguars fan, I would be concerned not only by the 13-of-30 performance of veteran quarterback David Garrard against the Eagles but also by the play of tackles Eben Britton and Eugene Monroe. Philly sacked Garrard six times and could have gotten him for a couple more.

3 I think I buy the report that Brett Favre has had second thoughts about his return to the Vikings. And why wouldn't he, after the team basically dragged him off his property a month ago? But will he act on his emotions and quit? I don't believe it. Not for a second.
