ON THE NUMBER
Out of Time
Last spring Golf Convergence, a market analyst, conducted a series of polls that asked respondents to pick their one or two greatest barriers to playing golf. After a recession and a not terribly robust recovery, money seemed like a logical choice to top the list, but cost finished a distant second behind time. Perhaps that's why the total number of golfers has remained relatively flat in the tough economy.
