Ammar Moussa

ARCADIA, CALIF. > Cross-country

Ammar, a senior at Arcadia High, tied the course record (14:24) to win the three-mile Mt. SAC Invitational in Walnut, Calif. His effort helped the Apaches, ranked No. 1 in the nation, take the team title in a meet-record time of 75:16. Ammar also won the three-mile Woodbridge Cross Country Classic and the 5K Stanford and Clovis invitationals.

Lindsay Harmon

LAKE OSWEGO, ORE. > Golf

Lindsay, a senior at Valley Catholic High, shot a 146 to win the two-day Palouse Ridge at Washington State University Junior Open by two strokes. In August she set a course record (61) at Santiam Golf Club to finish 13 under par and win the Oregon Golf Association junior title. Lindsay is the two-time state champion for classes 1A through 4A.

Alex Bregman

ALBUQUERQUE > Baseball

Alex, a junior infielder at Albuquerque Academy, was MVP of the Pan-Am AA 16U championships in Lagos de Moreno, Mexico, helping undefeated Team USA to an 11--4 gold medal victory over Mexico. He led all players in hitting (.564) and runs scored (17). Alex was all-state the past two years.

Lolo Silver

LONG BEACH, CALIF. > Water Polo

Silver, a 23-year-old attacker for USA Water Polo's senior women's team, was MVP of the Top 40 tournament in Long Beach, where she scored 12 goals to help the New York Athletic Club defend its title. In August she was the leading scorer (11 goals) for Team USA at the FINA World Cup in New Zealand. Silver was a two-time All-America at Stanford.

Logan Rehrer

COLUMBIA CITY, IND. > Football

Logan, a senior quarterback at Columbia City High, rushed for 119 yards and two touchdowns and completed 29 of 50 passes for 458 yards and four more TDs—including a 15-yard scoring pass and two-point conversion with 10 seconds left—for a 56--55 victory over East Noble. Logan has broken every Eagles career passing record.

Erin and Erica Dewey

PORT HOPE, ONT. > Softball

Shortstop Erin and centerfielder Erica, juniors at Durham College, helped the Lords go undefeated to win a record 15th Ontario Colleges Athletic Association title. Erin was OCAA player of the year for the third time; Erica holds the OCAA record for runs in a season (22).
