Parrish West

West, a senior forward at Alaska-Fairbanks who is averaging an NCAA Division II--leading 28.6 points per game, forced overtime with a four-point play and then hit a buzzer-beating three-pointer to give the Nanooks a 96--93 win over Saint Martin's. His 43 points broke a 1968 school record for most points in a game (42). Through Sunday, West has had 10 30-plus-point games.
Jana Persky
NEW CANAAN, CONN. > Ice Hockey
Jana, a senior center and captain at New Canaan High, is second in career points in the state (190) with three goals and two assists in a 6--1 victory of Guilford. A week earlier, she had a hat trick and an assist in three straight games, including two goals 16 seconds apart in an 8--2 win over Wilton for first place in the Fairfield County Athletic Conference.
Innocent Jacob
HOPE VALLEY, R.I. > Indoor Track and Field
Innocent, a senior at Chariho High, broke his state indoor record with a 24'1" long jump at the Rhode Island Classic, where he was named meet MVP for field events. A day earlier, at the Boston Holiday Challenge, he broke his indoor high jump school record with a 6'11" leap. In 2010, he leaped 23'3" to win the outdoor long jump event at New Englands.
Easter Faafiti
PITTSBURG, CALIF. > Basketball
Faafiti, a senior forward at Gallaudet, the nation's only university for the deaf, helped set a program record for consecutive wins (16) with her ninth straight double-double in a 51--48 win over SUNY-IT. The 2010 Capital Athletic Conference player of the year, she leads the Bison in scoring (19.6 points per game) and rebounding (12.2).
Rodolfo Paguada
QUEENS > Soccer
Rodolfo, a senior midfielder and captain at John Adams High, was named All-Queens player of the year and received the New York City Public Schools Athletic League's Wingate Award for athletic excellence. Rodolfo scored in all but one of his team's 14 matches to become the second-highest scorer in the city for the season with 26 goals, 10 of which were game-winners.
Sydney Witt
VISTA, CALIF. > Water Polo
Sydney, a senior and co-captain at Vista High, had seven goals and two assists in a 15--11 championship win over Santa Margarita High in the America's Finest City invitational in Coronado, Calif., earning MVP honors. Witt, who holds school career records in steals (296) and assists (146), has led Vista to the San Diego Section Division I title for three straight years.
