By missing the cut at the PGA, Tiger Woods effectively ended his 2011 PGA Tour season, failing to qualify for the FedEx Cup playoffs as well as his own unofficial Chevron World Challenge event in December. The good news for Woods? Despite the longest majorless drought of his career (38 months), he is still on pace in his quest to break the most iconic record in the game—Jack Nicklaus's 18 major victories. After making the '08 U.S. Open his 14th major title, Woods had a three-year advantage on Nicklaus. But now, at age 35 (Woods turns 36 in December), Woods and Nicklaus, at the same stage of his career, are in a dead heat.
