1. I think the coach on the warmest seat is Todd Haley of the Chiefs. After losing by 34 at home to Buffalo (Buffalo!), the Chiefs begin a tough two-game trip, to Detroit and San Diego.
2. I think, based on a terrific first game going up against Pittsburgh's James Harrison, Baltimore left tackle Bryant McKinnie's two-year contract with the Ravens was a wise investment. He's due only $1.5 million this year, and with fellow University of Miami products Ray Lewis and Ed Reed lording over him in the locker room, Baltimore is betting he'll stay in line all season.
3. Michael Vick will have this weekend for his return to Atlanta, but Matt Ryan, his replacement with the Falcons, should be more nervous. Ryan hasn't won a playoff game in three seasons. He put up zero touchdowns in the 30--12 season-opening loss at Chicago. Falcons fans are fickle. It won't be good for Ryan's present, or future, if he doesn't win or at least play valiantly.
