HOT | NOT

NOT: MISS-CONSIN

The Badgers women's hoops team (5--12) is on pace for its first sub-.500 season since '05-'06. The trouble? Sounds like shooting pains: Wisconsin's 38.7% field goal percentage ranks 165th in the country; its 56.8 ppg 276th.

HOT: VONN OF A NEW ERA

Lindsey Vonn's five-week winless lull ended Sunday in Italy with a victory in the Super G—her 47th career win, third most all time. Said the 27-year-old after stretching her lead in the World Cup standings, "Records in skiing are really important to me."

NOT: MEN OF A CERTAIN AGE

Four straight L's have dropped the Celtics (4--7) to 10th in the East, and during the streak they scored 321 points—a franchise worst over four games since 1954--55. Is it age? Minus Rajon Rando (25), Boston's starters average 34.5 years old.

HOT: SENATE RUN

Ottawa's been frigid lately (-12° on Monday), but the Senators (25-15-6) are scorching: Since Dec. 30 they're 8-0-1, and no one's been better in goal than Craig Anderson, whose 1,219 saves on the season are an NHL best.

NOT: PISTONS JAMMED

Detroit was 3--10 as of Sunday, but a more embarrassing figure this season is its attendance. Just 11,719 fans show up per game, down 30% from 2010--11, and last week the Pistons were outdrawn by Michigan State's women's team.
