The Post-Games Report

From the sublime (or at least prime time) to the ridiculous (the rid-Lochte-ous?)—from fulfilling dreams to inspiring memes—here's a look at what some 2012 Olympians have been up to since the torch was extinguished in London on Aug. 12

VERY SPECIAL GUESTS

Athletes have bounced all around the TV landscape—particularly the Fierce Five U.S. gymnasts (right, on Good Morning America), who even landed as interns on The Colbert Report. Meanwhile, forget China vs. the U.S.—here's the guests' medal count for late night's superpowers.

BOX TOPPERS

Kellogg's Corn Flakes and Wheaties continued the all-American tradition of putting athletes on boxes of cereal, but Winchester Ammunition targeted U.S. shooting star Kim Rhode for a more rarefied honor: gracing a box of 12-gauge shotgun shells.

GAME CHANGERS

Many athletes are jumping right back into training in their respective sports, but a few are swimming in unfamiliar waters.

GIFTED

Medals are one thing, but returning athletes have been showered with everything from cowboy boots to sculptures of Br'er Rabbit. The tastiest treat came from the folks at a New Jersey Smashburger, who awarded home-state swimmer Rebecca Soni free burgers for life.
