'NOLES GONE WILDER Against Clemson in Tallahassee last Saturday night, Florida State running back James Wilder Jr. scored on a five-yard run in the fourth quarter. It was the third of four straight Seminoles TDs after Clemson had taken a 31--21 lead. Fourth-ranked Florida State went on to win 49--37 and, at 4--0, is the lone unbeaten team in the ACC. 3-PEAT AFTER ME For the third straight Sunday, Robert Griffin III (page 52) shone for the Redskins; in his home debut the rookie threw for 221 yards and a touchdown and rushed for 85 yards and another score. But RG3's heroics weren't enough to surmount the 'Skins' defensive shortcomings, as Washington fell to the Bengals 38--31 to drop to 1--2.

SUBMISSION IMPOSSIBLE Vitor Belfort (white trunks), who arrived at UFC 152 last Saturday night an 8-to-1 underdog, provided a rare Bones-chilling moment when he caught Jon Jones in an armbar in the first round of their light heavyweight fight in Toronto. The champ, however, escaped disaster and submitted Belfort 54 seconds into the fourth round to hold on to his crown.
