HOT: FINE CHINA

It's not quite his transcendent 2011 (10 singles titles), but Novak Djokovic's China Open victory gave him four singles championships and 65 match wins this season, most among ATP players. The world No. 2 then wowed the crowd in Beijing with a postmatch "Gangnam Style" dance.

NOT: PURPLE FROGS

It's the Big 12, y'all. TCU (formerly 15th) fell from the rankings after a 37--23 loss last Saturday to Iowa State in the Frogs' first conference home game, two days after starting QB Casey Pachall was arrested for suspicion of DWI. That's two strikes for Pachall, who failed a drug test last February.

HOT: OKTOBER FEAST

Bayern Munich rolled Hoffenheim 2--0 for its seventh straight Bundesliga win, tying the record it shares with Mainz and Kaiserslautern for victories to open a season and getting off to its best overall start since going 7--0 in 1995. Winger Franck Ribery punched in both goals for the Bavarians.

NOT: DESERT STORM

Arizona's calm 3--0 start to this season (outscoring opponents 139--55) has turned into a roller-coaster ride: The Wildcats were waxed by Oregon 49--0, lost a 38--35 heartbreaker to Oregon State and last Saturday were thisclose to knocking off No. 18 Stanford before falling 54--48 in OT.

HOT: SPEEDY GONZALEZ

Here's hoping you didn't sleep on 36-year-old Tony Gonzalez this year. The 12-time Pro Bowler has been a fantasy owner's dream: Gonzalez leads all tight ends in catches (39) and yards (388), and has four TDs for 5--0 Atlanta. Advice: Sell extremely high or, better yet, not at all.
