Oderah, a senior forward at Bishop O'Dowd High, the defending California Interscholastic Federation Division III champion, scored 13 of her game-high 20 points and grabbed eight of her 16 rebounds in the final 12 minutes to help the Dragons pull away to a 51--40 win over Archbishop Mitty High, last year's CIF Division II champs. A member of the U-17 national team that won the FIBA worlds in August, Oderah is ranked No. 10 in the class of 2013 by ESPN HoopGurlz. She will compete at Duke.

LINWOOD, N.J. > FOOTBALL
Jim, a senior kicker at Mainland Regional High, booted three fourth-quarter field goals in a 30--9 victory over Egg Harbor Township to break the state career field goal record with 31. After kicks of 43 and 41 yards, he set the mark on a 30-yarder with 22.9 seconds left on the clock, sealing the Mustangs' third straight win over the Eagles in the schools' annual Thanksgiving Day game. Jim, who will play in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl in January, will attend Temple in the fall.
ALAINA BERGSMA
CHANDLER, ARIZ. > VOLLEYBALL
Bergsma, a 6'3" senior outside hitter at Oregon and the American Volleyball Coaches Association national player of the year, had 16 kills and 15 digs to lead the No. 5 Ducks to a 3--1 upset of top-ranked Penn State in the NCAA Division I semifinals and their first appearance in the national championship game, where they fell to Texas. An Academic All-America and the Pac-12 player of the year, at season's end Bergsma ranked in the top five in the country in kills (5.00) and points per set (5.42).
TYLER MALONEY
CORONA DEL MAR, CALIF. > HOCKEY
Tyler, a senior left winger and captain at Corona del Mar High, had his second hat trick of the season to pace the Ice Kings to a 6--4 win over Servite High. In the first year of interscholastic hockey at his school, Tyler leads the Anaheim Ducks High School Hockey League (the first high school hockey league in Orange County, established by the NHL Ducks in 2008) in scoring with 18 goals and six assists in nine games. Tyler also leads his Junior Ducks' Midget 18AA travel team in scoring (14 points).
MAEVE DOHERTY
MILLERSVILLE, MD. > FIELD HOCKEY
Maeve, a junior defenseman at Severna Park High, was named All-State in helping the Falcons reach the state regional final for the second straight season, allowing only 13 goals in 16 games. Last year she scored the first goal in the Maryland Class 4A championship to lead the team to its 20th state title. Maeve, who also competes with the SPark Field Hockey Club, was chosen last March for the U-19 junior national indoor team. Her AAU Junior Olympics team won silver in July.
SCOTTIE WILLIAMS
WOODRIDGE, ILL. > FOOTBALL
Williams, a senior running back at Elmhurst College and this year's College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin player of the year, led the Blue Jays to the best season in school history (a record 10 wins and a share of the CCIW title) and was named the winner of the Gagliardi Trophy as Division III's most outstanding player. A 2011 Academic All-America, he set single-season school records this year for rushing yards (2,046), second in D-III, and rushing touchdowns (22).

In a game between Falls City High and Mapleton (both of Oregon), Falls PG Ethan McConnell (right) fed a rebound to Mapleton's Davan Overton, who suffers from gross motor skills deficiencies as a result of a childhood brain tumor, and who had missed all his shots. Davan then hit a three-pointer at the buzzer to seal Mapleton's 67--42 win.
