"The face of my new driver is definitely hotter. I've seen improvement in both carry distance and ball speed."

TAYLORMADE'S NEW R1 IS DESIGNED TO FIT THE CLUB TO THE SWING

Already in the bags of several PGA Tour players, including Dustin Johnson's during the Hyundai Tournament of Champions, the TaylorMade R1 driver can be adjusted to have as little as 8° of loft or as much as 12°. What's the thinking? TaylorMade says 80% of golfers use a club with the incorrect loft, so the flexibility helps each player find the perfect blend of carry and roll to maximize distance. Combine that with adjustable weights in the heel and toe along with an adjustable sole plate that allows the face angle to be opened or closed up to 4° at address, and TaylorMade has a 460cc driver that can be tuned to match any swing.
