Startling Start
Making only his third PGA Tour appearance, and his first as a pro, 23-year-old Russell Henley had a dream week at the Sony Open in Hawaii. Henley's 24-under-par 256 shattered the tournament record—shared by Brad Faxon (2001) and John Huston (1998) by four shots, and he had three 63s, including on Sunday when he closed with five birdies. Amateur or pro, only one other player has won a Tour event in fewer starts.

YEARLY NEARLY
Lost in Henley hoopla: Tim Clark finished second to extend his streak of at least one runner-up finish to nine years, tying Phil Mickelson among active players. The Tour record is 17 straight years with a second, set by Jack Nicklaus from 1962 through '78.
