The Old Canada Try

Football's great northern pipeline

The Bears are reportedly considering Montreal Alouettes coach Marc Trestman to run the sideline in Chicago. Since the CFL's founding in 1958, a raft of men have crossed the border in the opposite direction to play or coach on a gridiron that is 10 yards longer and 11 2/3 yards wider than the NFL's. Some of the most notable names have excelled in both leagues; others, not so much.
