HOT: LOBOS AGLOW

New Mexico (23--4) snapped No. 22 Colorado State's 27-game home winning streak 91--82 to give the No. 14--ranked Lobos their third straight W and fourth over a ranked opponent this season. Team MVP? Gotta be guard Kendall Williams (14.4 ppg), who poured in 46 at CSU.

NOT: YANKEE DOGGED

A quick rundown of Alex Rodriguez's past month or so: no spring training (rehabbing hip in NYC); steroid accusations from lab in Miami; and, last week, news that his infamous cousin, Yuri Sucart, was auctioning off A-Rod's '09 World Series ring, starting at $5,000.

HOT: SWANS SONG

Swansea City blasted Bradford City 5--0 in the Capital One Cup at Wembley to claim the Welsh club's first major trophy in its 100-year history. Nathan Dyer scored twice in the blowout, largest ever in the League Cup, and said, "We knew history was on the cards."

NOT: RANGER DANGER

Having lost four of five, New York (8-7-2) is failing miserably at scoring on the power play—its 11.5% conversion rate is 29th in the NHL. Making things worse is goalie Henrik Lundqvist's atypically low save percentage of .918, 20th in the league.

HOT: MAYBE IT IS MEMPHIS

The Grizzlies (37--18 and fourth in the West) knocked off the Nets 76--72 on Sunday, their seventh straight win. Memphis's D is locking down everyone—its 89.6 points per game allowed is a conference best, while point guard Mike Conley's 2.25 steals is second in the NBA.
