He's Out of The Weeds Tiger is done. He'll never catch Snead. Maybe never win again. Oh, sorry, that was the conventional wisdom circa March 2012, when Tiger Woods hadn't won a PGA Tour event in 30 months. Things are different now: Woods's easy win at the WGC Cadillac Championship at Doral was his fifth in the last year, and he's now only six behind Sam Snead's Tour record of 82. So, anyone else looking forward to the Masters?

Good Night, Detroit! The Red Wings are an NHL glamour team, one of the Original Six franchises and an 11-time Stanley Cup champ. The Blue Jackets, well, they're from Columbus, and they've never won a playoff series ... but they did beat the Wings on Sunday when Sergei Bobrovsky (72) stoned Henrik Zetterberg on Detroit's final shootout attempt.

Fear the Kiwi! It was your typical pregame scene before the final of the World Softball Championships in Auckland: batting practice, a little pepper ... and some traditional Maori warrior dancing from the host team. The haka performance worked: New Zealand beat Venezuela 4--1 to clinch the Black Sox' sixth world title in eight years.
