HOT: MOORE THAN A FEELING

The Rays have scuffled (12--13 at week's end), but lefty Matt Moore has soared. He's 5--0 with a 1.13 ERA, fanning 38 in 32 innings and allowing just 13 hits—making him only the fifth pitcher in AL history to yield fewer than half a hit per inning while winning his first five games.

NOT: QP-AU REVOIR

Big spending (Julio Cesar, Loic Remy, Harry Redknapp) couldn't keep Queens Park Rangers from relegation, sealed last week with a 0--0 draw against Reading. Joey Barton (above), on loan from QPR to Olympique de Marseille, Twitter-ripped the team, saying, "Too many maggots."

HOT: CRAIG'S LIST

The Senators snagged the East's seventh playoff spot thanks to goalie Craig Anderson (above), whose 0.941 save percentage and 1.69 GAA in 24 regular season games after his return from an ankle injury were league bests. Also back: Norris Trophy winner Erik Karlsson.

NOT: L.A. AWWW

The Lakers were swept from the playoffs by San Antonio on Sunday, their seasonlong nightmare ending with center Dwight Howard's ejection from Game 4. After perhaps his last game in purple-and-gold, Howard tweeted, "I hope I get the chance to make it up to you!"

HOT: START OF DAVID

Since returning to the lineup on April 20, Red Sox DH David Ortiz through Sunday was hitting .516 with five doubles, 11 RBIs and 27 total bases. Big Papi's pop had helped Boston, widely picked to finish last in the AL East, claim first place with five straight wins.
