HOT: OVER THE MOON
South Korea's Sang-Moon Bae (above) won the Byron Nelson Championship in Irving, Texas, on Sunday, beating Keegan Bradley by two strokes with a 13-under 267. "It's something I've always dreamed of," said Bae, 26, of his first victory on the PGA Tour. "I was in awe, actually."
NOT: RANGER DANGER
New York found itself down 2--0 to Boston in the conference finals on Sunday after Henrik Lundqvist surrendered five goals, the first time in more than two years that he'd given up more than four, and the first time he'd allowed more than three in 32 career games against Boston.
HOT: MEGABUCS
Pittsburgh (26--18) has won eight of its last 10, and pitching's the key. The staff's six shutouts are the third most in MLB, while surprising Jason Grilli leads the league with 17 saves. Said manager Clint Hurdle, "I like the direction we're headed, the effort and the attitude."
NOT: SO UNLIKE IKE
Ike Davis was seventh in ROY voting in 2010. This season the Mets' 26-year-old first baseman is hitting .156, with two doubles and no home runs in May. There's been talk of a minor league demotion, to which Davis said, "I'm probably going to have a month to figure it out."
HOT: HOW SWEDE IT IS
Led by Henrik Sedin (above), Sweden won its first Hockey Federation world championship since 2006 on Sunday, beating Switzerland 5--1 to become the first host squad to win in 27 years. The Canucks center had two goals, while Sabres goalie Jhonas Enroth made 26 saves.
