High Notes

Last week Memphis quarterback Jacob Karam visited nearby St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, where the senior met 11-year-old Breanna Bercegeay, a leukemia patient. She had heard Karam playing piano and asked if she could sing along.

The result was a moving blend of musical talents. Through her surgical mask, Bree belted out Jessie J's "Price Tag," with Karam (who has been playing piano since he was five) tickling the ivories and singing backup. A YouTube video of the duet went viral. "It allowed her to escape her current situation," Karam says. "She had a great attitude. It put me in a great mood."

Karam, who threw for 14 TDs in 2012, invited Bree to see the Tigers play this fall. They sing the national anthem before those games, right?
