Travis Quintanilla | Refugio, Texas | Football
Travis, a senior quarterback at Refugio High, threw for 712 yards to set the Texas career yardage record during a 73--72 overtime win over Rogers in the Class 2A Division II playoffs. A week earlier he broke the state career touchdown mark. Through Sunday, he had four-year totals of 13,405 yards and 178 TDs.
Mallory Pugh | Highlands Ranch, Colo. | Soccer
Mallory, a sophomore forward at Mountain Vista High, led the national under-17 squad in points (five goals and four assists) at the CONCACAF championships in Montego Bay, Jamaica, where the U.S. finished third. Her performance earned her TopDrawerSoccer.com's No. 1 ranking for the class of 2016.
Olivia Viney | Marine City, Mich. | Football
Olivia, a junior kicker at Marine City High, booted seven extra points in a 49--35 victory over Grand Rapids South Christian for the Division 4 state title, becoming the first female to score in a Michigan championship game. Her seven PATs tied the state finals mark and her 61 on the season are a school record.
Emery Lehman | Oak Park, Ill. | Speed-skating
Emery, a junior at Oak Park--River Forest High, set a junior national record in the 5,000 meters with a time of 6:20.57 at the World Cup in Calgary, finishing sixth in the B division. A week later at the Cup event in Salt Lake City he lowered his PR to 6:19.87 for fifth in the B division, just .80 off the junior world mark.
Brianna Butler | King of Prussia, Pa. | Basketball
Butler, a sophomore guard at Syracuse, led the team in scoring in each of three victories at the Paradise Jam in St. Thomas, including a career-high 29 points in a 78--63 title win over Texas A&M. She was named tournament MVP. At week's end Butler's 3.89 threes per game ranked fourth in the nation.
Connor and Kellen Jones | Montrose, B.C. | Hockey
The Jones twins, senior forwards at Quinnipiac, are the fifth set of brothers in NCAA history to reach 100 career points each. Connor hit the mark in a 7--2 win over Colgate; Kellen, in a 3--0 win over Princeton, on a pass from his brother.
