Travis Bader | Okemos, Mich. | Basketball
Bader, a senior guard at Oakland, had six three-pointers in an 86--64 loss to UW-Milwaukee to break the Division I career record set by former Duke guard J.J. Redick (457), in 11 fewer games. Bader scored 19.8 points per game and had 475 treys through Sunday. He was a finalist for 2013's Lou Henson Award, given to the top mid-major player.
Maura Muensterman | Evansville, Ind. | Basketball
Maura, a senior guard at Mater Dei, had seven assists in a 72--33 win over Heritage Hills High to break the Indiana career record, with 704. At week's end she was averaging 23.5 points and 8.5 assists, extending her record total to 723. Last year she helped the Wildcats win their second straight 2A title. Maura will play for Indiana.
Alfred Bannister | La Plata, Md. | Wrestling
Alfred, a senior at Bishop McNamara High who wrestles at 145 pounds, pinned Jack Perry of Gonzaga College High 1:30 into the first period for his 250th career win, since extended to 262, a state record. A two-time Beast of the East winner and three-time state champion, Alfred has signed to wrestle for Maryland.
Michelle Mazza | Oakhurst, N.J. | Indoor Track and Field
Michelle, a junior at Ocean Township High, put the shot 40'6" to set a Monmouth County Championships meet record and reach the qualifying standard for April's Penn Relays. She had made it her goal to compete at the relays after a benign tumor was removed along with half her left lung at the nearby Children's Hospital of Philadelphia last summer.
Destin Lasco | Linwood, N.J. | Swimming
Destin, a Belhaven Middle School sixth-grader, lowered his national mark for 11- and 12-year-olds in the 100-yard backstroke (53.54) and set the 50 back record (25.02) at the Middle Atlantic Age Group Elite meet. At the 2012 Eastern Zone Championships he was the first 10-year-old to swim a sub-minute 100 back (59.81), breaking Michael Phelps's meet record.
Mackenzie Popescue and Cheyenne CoyleScottsdale, Ariz.; West Hills, Calif. | Softball
Popescue, an Arizona State senior righthander, had an 0.00 ERA in three wins to lead the Sun Devils' 6--0 sweep of their season-opening Kajikawa Classic while Coyle, a senior shortstop, batted .563 with three homers and 11 RBIs.
