A'ja Wilson | Hopkins, S.C. | Basketball

A'ja, a 6'4" senior forward at Heathwood Hall Episcopal, scored 37 points, including a buzzer-beating trey to force OT, leading the Highlanders to the SCISA 3A state title over Northwood (66--58). The Women's Basketball Coaches Association high school player of the year and No. 1 prospect in her class, A'ja helped the U.S. under-19 team to gold at the 2013 worlds.

Chase Kalisz | Bel Air, Md. | Swimming

Kalisz, a sophomore at Georgia, won the 400-yard individual medley at the SEC championships by 2.07 seconds in 3:36.89, the third-fastest time in history and less than a second off the American and world record (3:35.98, set by Olympian Tyler Clary in 2009). The defending NCAA 400-IM champ, Kalisz was the SEC freshman of the year last season.

Rebecca Yoshor | Houston | Basketball

Yoshor, a 6-foot senior forward at Division III Yeshiva University, had 20 rebounds in the Maccabees' season finale, an 83--80 win over NYU-Poly, to finish her season as the NCAA leader in rebounds per game—among men and women—with 16.0. Last year Yoshor was the school's first female athlete to be named an Academic All-America.

Adarios Jones | Moline, Ill. | Wrestling

Adarios, a senior at Moline High, avenged his 2013 state championship quarterfinals loss, riding out top-ranked defending champ Brian Allen of Hinsdale Central High in a 30-second ultimate tiebreaker to win the 285-pound Class 3A title match 3--2. Adarios, who went 41--3 this season, is a four-time All-America. He will wrestle at Northern Iowa.

Susanne Davis | Carlsbad, Calif. | Triathlon

Davis, 42, a triathlon coach and mother of two, was named the 2013 women's masters triathlete of the year by USA Triathlon. She won the masters title at the Olympic-distance nationals in Milwaukee in August (2:09:32) and at the Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii, in October (9:41:40)—an event record for U.S. amateur women over 40.

Christopher Thomas | Easton, Conn. | Triathlon
