Dream Teams
Sure, the Spurs finished the regular season atop the Western Conference; yes, the Pacers had the best record in the East. But is a Finals matchup between the old West and the swooners of the East what everyone wants to see? Check out SI.com/nba for coverage of the 2014 playoffs, including analysis of why KD versus LeBron is the dream Finals.

The Overuse of Young Pitchers
Last month Jameson Taillon, 22, the Pirates' top pitching prospect, tore the ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow. He will undergo Tommy John surgery later this month and will miss the entire 2014 season. Taillon pitched a total of 382 professional innings, but he has been throwing a 90-mph fastball since he was a sophomore in high school and as a senior often hit 99 mph. The story of Taillon's elbow has become a common one. Could it be that pitchers are headed for arm trouble way before they even sign their first pro contract? SI's Verducci thinks so.
