Albert Meier | Boone, Iowa | Track and Field

Albert, a senior at Boone High, became the state's first runner to break the nine-minute mark in the 3,200 meters, with an 8:58.46 at the Drake Relays. He was named the meet's most outstanding high school male athlete. Last spring Albert won the Class 3A title in 9:18.93. He will run at South Plains College, a two-year school in Levelland, Texas.

Chania Ray | Alexandria, Va. | Basketball

Chania, a 5'7" senior shooting guard at Riverdale Baptist School, had 22 points in a 60--35 victory over Fremont High of Plain City, Utah, in the Dick's Sporting Goods national championship at Madison Square Garden. She scored 19 points, including the winning layup, in a 59--58 semifinal win over Orlando's Edgewater High. Chania will play for Florida State.

Grant Solomon | Dallas | Tennis

Grant, a Greenhill School senior, beat Daniel Weiner of Houston's Kinkaid School 6--1, 6--3 in the Southwest Preparatory Conference finals to lead the Hornets to their second straight title. Grant finished his career 48--0, never dropping a set. A three-time clay court nationals quarterfinalist and a National High School Tennis All-America, Grant will play at Harvard.

Joya Clark | Scotia, N.Y. | Rugby

Clark, a senior wing at Norwich, scored one try in the final match of her career, a 36--10 win over Rutgers for the American Collegiate Rugby Association's inaugural Division I Sevens championship. First alltime in tries for the Cadets (140), she led them to a 40--0 record in 2013--14 and three national titles, including USA Rugby Sevens and ACRA 15s.

Kevin Kwedor | Marshfield, Mass. | Baseball

Kwedor, a sophomore lefthander at the Massachusetts Maritime Academy in Buzzards Bay, threw the 25th perfect game in Division III history—and the first ever in the Buccaneers' 42 years—blanking the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts 4--0 in seven innings. Entering the game he had a 1--2 record and a 4.05 ERA.

Kirby Burnham and Sara Hughes

Newport Beach, Calif.; Costa Mesa, Calif. | Sand Volleyball

Burnham, a 6'2" senior at USC, and Hughes, a 5'10" freshman, beat Hawaii's Karissa Cook and Brittany Tiegs 21--15, 21--13 to win the Trojans' second straight American Volleyball Coaches Association national pairs title.
