Julia Hollingsworth | Ennis, Texas | Softball

Julia, a junior leftfielder at Ennis High, scored once in a 10--3 loss to Aledo High in the state 4A final to break the national record for runs scored in a season with 83. She was a repeat all-state selection and The Dallas Morning News's player of the year, with a .678 batting average and 58 stolen bases. Julia has verbally committed to Tulsa.

Trentavis Friday | Cherryville, N.C. | Track and Field

Trentavis, a senior at Cherryville High, won the 100 meters in 10.17 and the 200 in 20.33 at the Champions Tune-Up Meet in Kernersville. Both wind-legal times are tops in the nation this season. The New Balance Nationals indoor champion in the 60 (6.64) and the 200 (20.97), Trentavis will run at Florida State.

Annie Wang | La Cañada Flintridge, Calif. | Chess

Annie, who will be a seventh-grader at La Cañada High in the fall, became the youngest American girl, at age 11, to reach national master status. The only player to sweep her age group, she went 5--0 to win the 12-and-under division at the National Junior Chess Congress in Irvine, Calif., pushing her rating past 2,200, the national master level.

Andrew McKissick | Baltimore | Open-water Swimming

McKissick, who will be a sophomore at UMBC this fall, won the 4.4-mile Great Chesapeake Bay Swim for the second straight year, in 1:29.35. This season in the pool, McKissick swam the third-fastest 400-yard individual medley in school history (3:58.20) and led the Retrievers to silver at the Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association championships.

Allyson Fournier | South Windsor, Conn. | Softball

Fournier, a senior righthander at Tufts, pitched 24 straight shutout innings over three games against Salisbury (the first a loss) to lead the Jumbos to their second straight Division III crown, with a 6--0 win in the title game. The repeat Honda Award D-III softball Woman of the Year, Fournier was 28--1 this season with a 0.49 ERA in 202 innings.

Justin Suh | San Jose | Golf

Justin, a junior at Evergreen Valley High, shot a four-under-par 67 at San Gabriel Country Club to win the CIF/California Golf Association state high school championship by one stroke. The medalist in 14 of 16 matches this season, Justin was named the league MVP for the third straight year. He has verbally committed to USC.
