Andrew Seliskar | McLean, Va. | Swimming
Andrew, a senior at Thomas Jefferson High, broke a junior world record in the 200-meter butterfly with a 1:55.92 at the Junior Pan Pacific Championships in Kihei, Hawaii. He also won gold in the 200 IM, 400 IM and 800 free relay and silver in the 100 fly. Last season Andrew set a national high school record in the 100 breast (53.24).
Lily Zhang | Palo Alto, Calif. | Table Tennis
Zhang, a freshman at Cal, became the first American to win a table tennis medal in Olympic competition, defeating Japan's Miyu Kato 4--2 to earn bronze at the Youth Olympics in Nanjing, China. At age 12 in 2009, Zhang became the youngest player to make the U.S. women's team. She went on to compete at the 2012 London Games.
Tyler Krychkowski | North Arlington, N.J. | Soccer
Krychkowski, a junior at New Jersey City University, made 16 saves in his first two games as goalkeeper, forcing a pair of double-overtime draws, 0--0 against Trine and 1--1 against the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy. A defender, midfielder and forward in his first two years with the Knights, Krychkowski was named Division III player of the week.
Raquel Hefflin | Compton, Calif. | Cross-country
Hefflin, a senior at UC Riverside, came off a redshirt track season to win the 4K Nevada Twilight Classic at Shadow Mountain Park in Sparks, clocking a course-record 14:06. She finished 23 seconds ahead of a field that included runners from three teams ranked in the top 10 regionally, and she was named the Division I runner of the week.
Myles Marshall | Kingwood, Texas | Track and Field
Myles, a senior at Kingwood High, took gold in the 800 meters with a 1:50.22 finish at the Youth Olympics in Nanjing, China. The son of 800 runners—1984 Olympian John Marshall and four-time Olympic trials finalist Debbie Grant—Myles was second in the event at junior nationals (1:48.3) and repeated as the Texas 5A champion (1:51.61).
John and Caty McNally | Cincinnati | Tennis
Siblings John and Caty each swept their singles and doubles age-group titles at junior hard-court nationals. John, a sophomore at Madeira High, won both 16-and-under finals in Kalamazoo, Mich. Caty, a seventh-grader at Madeira Middle School, swept the 14-and-under events in Peachtree City, Ga.
