I agree with Michael McCann's take on Jameis Winston (SCORECARD). He should leave Florida State. He should go back to third grade, where he can learn that stealing is wrong, swearing is not acceptable and that women should be treated with respect.
Jim Lavold, Wauwatosa, Wis.
I was disappointed with McCann's article. He basically wrote a blueprint for how Winston could evade disciplinary action for his alleged heinous acts against a female student.
Raina Kerman, Madison, Wis.
DRAFT DODGED
Due to a production error, our graph ranking NBA teams by draft picks and regular-season performance (SCORECARD) from 2009 through 2013--14 omitted the Hawks. Our evaluation of Atlanta put the team 16th, in the middle of our rankings.

Ben Reiter's feature on Bud Selig had a glaring omission: MLB's terrible TV contract, which Selig negotiated and which has postseason games on cable channels such as Fox Sports 1 and MLB Network, making it impossible for many fans to see their teams play. Even SI's Peter King complained about it in The MMQB because his hotel didn't carry either network.
Matthew Schwartz, Tucson
COVER
As an inner-city high school baseball coach and a former homeless athlete, I can't tell you how much this story moved me. Maybe others will see this and be encouraged to step in and help these kids in need.

JUST MY TYPE
Brian Hoyer, who was born and raised in Cleveland and dreamed of playing for the Browns, is proving himself big time on the field. Yet Dan Patrick spent a third of his time asking Hoyer about Johnny Manziel, who is now choking on Hoyer's dust.

POINT AFTER
Watch sports live? I want Alexander Wolff to know that I, like many of my friends, tape everything. I start watching football games about an hour after the opening kickoff, and the last two minutes of an NBA game really only take me two minutes to watch.

CORRECTION
In the Sept. 22 Inbox a letter from Carl Heldt about St. Louis radio station KMOX was mistakenly edited to include the term "bad commentary." Mr. Heldt wrote only "commentary," not "bad commentary." SI regrets the error.
