THE 2014 SEASON PROVIDED ITS SHARE OF COMEBACKS, UPSETS AND SHOOTOUTS. THESE WERE THE ONES TO SEE

1. NO. 5 BAYLOR 61, NO. 9 TCU 58, OCT. 11

Trailing 58--37 with 11:38 to go, the Bears outgained TCU 272 yards to 53 and capped their remarkable comeback with Chris Callahan's 28-yard field goal as time expired. Baylor's defense held quarterback Trevone Boykin to 21-of-47 passing for 287 yards. The Bears' win kept the Frogs out of the playoff.

2. NO. 3 AUBURN 35, NO. 4 OLE MISS 31, NOV. 1

With 1:39 remaining, Rebels receiver Laquon Treadwell was racing for a go-ahead score when his left leg buckled underneath linebacker Kris Frost, causing Treadwell to fumble inches short of the goal. The play turned stomachs and deflated Ole Miss, which lost two of its final four games.

3. NO. 2 FLORIDA STATE 31, NO. 5 NOTRE DAME 27, OCT. 18

Jameis Winston rallied the Seminoles from a seven-point halftime deficit by completing 15 of 16 passes, including 5 of 6 on a 75-yard drive for the decisive touchdown. A controversial offensive pass-interference call with 13 seconds left negated what would have been a game-winning Irish TD.

4. NO. 4 OHIO STATE 42, NO. 1 ALABAMA 35, JAN. 1

The Tide surged to a 21--6 lead. Undaunted, OSU kept pounding, led by quarterback Cardale Jones, who was making only his second start, and running back Ezekiel Elliott, who outraced Bama's defense for 230 yards, including a backbreaking 85-yard score with 3:24 remaining.

5. NO. 16 GEORGIA TECH 30, NO. 9 GEORGIA 24, NOV. 29

Three fumbles at the one-yard line. A 99-yard fumble return for a touchdown. Two blocked field goals. A successful fake field goal. A go-ahead touchdown with 18 seconds left. A game-tying 53-yard field goal with no time left. A blocked extra point in overtime. A clinching interception.
