"With a shorter-length putter, I'm thinking about being tall when I set up.I'm essentially putting with my left hand only and am making an exaggerated shoulder rock back and through."

TECH TALK

Crowning Achievement

Ping G driver

Like the popular G30, Ping's new driver series—the G (right), G LS Tec and G SF Tec—includes loft adjustability (+/-1°), a high-balance-point shaft and aerodynamic ridges on the crown. The ridges, along with larger indentations on the back, combine with the G's more rounded transition from face to crown to reduce drag by 37% compared with the G30. That means faster swings and up to four yards more carry. The new crown is also eight grams lighter, which lets Ping drop extra mass low and rearward for a higher MOI. Compared with the G, the LS Tec spins 350 rpm less, while the SF Tec has up to nine yards of fade correction. Bubba Watson (using a bright-pink version of the G) and Louis Oosthuizen (G LS Tec) have both won with the new drivers. $400.
