ON APRIL 8, Jets left tackle D'Brickashaw Ferguson, 32, announced his retirement after 10 years in the NFL. The team had asked him to take a cut from his $10.375 million salary. Instead, Ferguson, who has cited health concerns in the past even though he has missed only one play in 167 starts, joined the list of guys walking away before their time.
