The Swimsuit Issue was conceived to provide a measure of warmth—metaphorical, mostly, but, in some cases, literal—in the winter months, a job it still admirably fulfills after 53 years. But what of summer? you ask. You know, the time of year when people actually wear bathing suits?

That's where Summer of Swim comes in. On Aug. 28 we'll host the inaugural Sports Illustrated Summer of Swim Fan Festival and Concert. It'll take place on the Coney Island Boardwalk, which has attracted fun seekers and frank eaters for decades. It's also the perfect backdrop for the photos of Nina Agdal and Hailey Clauson that appear in this special section. (You can see more photos from the shoot, as well as video, at swimdaily.si.com.)

The free festival will feature a series of interactive fan experiences and appearances by Nina, Hailey and several other models. The evening will be capped off by a concert headlined by Action Bronson. (Tickets for the show are available at ticketmaster.com.)
