FACES IN THE CROWD

Dean Heil | Brunswick, Ohio | Wrestling

Heil, a junior at Oklahoma State, defeated North Carolina's Joey Ward 3--1 to win the 141-pound class at the Southern Scuffle in Chattanooga. The reigning NCAA champion and a two-time All-America at 141 pounds, Heil is undefeated in 11 matches this season and became the fifth Cowboy ever to win multiple titles at the Scuffle.

Callie Dickinson | Virginia Beach | Swimming

Callie, a junior at Norfolk Academy, won the 100- (54.98) and 200-yard (1:59.07) backstroke, the 200 breaststroke (2:17.21), the 200 butterfly (1:59.46) and the 200 (2:03.12) and 400 (4:22.13) individual medley at the TYR Blizzard Blitz meet in Cary, N.C. Last summer she finished 16th in the semis at the Olympic trials in the 200-meter back.

Amely Del Rosario | Bronx, N.Y. | Basketball

Del Rosario, a 5'5" point guard at Division III Lehman College in the Bronx, scored 41 points in a 78--70 win over Ferrum College. Last season she set a school record with 48 points in an 85--61 win over Hunter College. Through Sunday, Del Rosario was averaging 25.6 points, tops in D-III, as well as 6.9 rebounds and 3.7 assists.

Troy Terry | Denver | Hockey

Terry, a sophomore forward at Denver, scored the game-winning shootout goal against Canada in the gold medal game of the world junior championships in Montreal. In his first game back with the Pioneers, he scored twice and had three assists in a 6--1 victory over Arizona State. At week's end Terry was tied for the team lead with 22 points.

Tucker Pierce | New Gloucester, Maine | Nordic Skiing

Tucker, a senior at Maine Coast Waldorf High in Freeport, finished first at the WMC High School Nordic Race in New Gloucester with a time of 13:00. Last season Tucker earned wins in the 5K freestyle (15:36) and 5K classical (16:39.5) at the MPA Class C championship, helping the boys' team win its fourth straight title.

Haley Youker and Hunter BorkowskiEast Syracuse, N.Y. | Bowling

Haley, a junior, and Hunter, a freshman, at East Syracuse--Minoa High, bowled 300s in a 3--0 win over Christian Brothers. At week's end Haley, who finished second at the NYSPHSAA tournament last March, had a 224 average, and Hunter 193.
