Mindy Miles | Weatherford, Texas | Shooting

Miles, a junior at TCU, shot a 598 to win her third straight air rifle title at the Patriot Rifle Conference Championships in Columbus, Ohio; she also led the Horned Frogs to their second title in a row. As a freshman, Miles became the fifth shooter in NCAA history to break 600 points in a match.

Lorenda Holston | Fayetteville, Ga. | Track and Field

Holston, a senior at Colorado State, ran the 60-meter hurdles in 8.06 at the Don Kirby Invitational, setting a school record for the fourth straight meet. On Jan. 14 she clocked an 8.18 at the Potts Invitational; on Jan. 21, an 8.15 at the Deloss Dodds Invitational; and on Feb. 4, an 8.13 at the CU Open.

Zuri Pavlin | New York City | Basketball

Pavlin, a 6'5" senior forward at Division III Connecticut College, grabbed six rebounds in a 97--89 loss to Middlebury to run his career total to 831, breaking the 33-year-old school record. Pavlin, who averaged 11.0 points and 8.6 boards this season, has twice led the NESCAC in rebounding.

Mustafa Khaleefah | Dearborn, Mich. | Football

Mustafa, a 6'5", 280-pound tackle at Dearborn High, did not allow a sack during 2016, helping the Pioneers reach the district finals. He also had 21 tackles at defensive tackle. A Michigan State signee who gave up just two sacks in three years, Mustafa emigrated from Iraq in the fourth grade.

Cecily Stabler | Summit, N.J. | Hockey, Lacrosse, Soccer

Cecily, a senior hockey defenseman at Summit High, broke the school career records for points and goals in consecutive games; she finished with 69 and 47 respectively. Last fall she captained the soccer team to a playoff berth, and this spring she will captain the defending state champion lacrosse team.

Roy Johnston | Beaverton, Mich. | Basketball

Johnston, 74, the coach at Beaverton High, won his 729th game, a state record, with a 61--24 victory over Farwell. The Beavers' coach for 43 years, he has earned 20 conference championships and 15 district titles. Johnston's grandson Carter scored a team-high 21 points in the win.
