Angelica Blake | Boca Raton, Fla. | Tennis
Angelica, a sophomore at Score Academy, took the girls' 16-and-under singles title at the USTA national winter championship in Scottsdale, Ariz. Angelica, the No. 1 seed, beat Dasha Kourkina of Brooklyn 7--6, 6--0. In 2016, Angelica won the Asics Easter Bowl in Indian Wells, Calif., and the Class 2A state championship.
Sidarth Kumbla | San Jose | Fencing
Sidarth, a senior foil at Archbishop Mitty High, won a bronze medal at the Junior World Cup in London in December. He also earned individual and team gold at the 2016 Junior Pan American Championship and silver at the '15 Junior Olympics. The fourth-ranked U.S. junior fencer, Sidarth will compete for Columbia next year.
Ben Lin | Short Hills, N.J. | Swimming
Lin, a senior at Williams College, set championship meet records in the 100-yard fly (47:76) and the 200 back (1:45.88) during the NESCAC Championships at Wesleyan University. He also set a pool mark with a 21.91 in the 50 back, helping the Ephs win their 15th consecutive conference title. Lin was named the NESCAC swimmer of the year.
Lynsey Mitchell | Liberty Hill, Texas | Softball
Mitchell, a sophomore outfielder at D-I NJCAA Angelina College in Lufkin, Texas, had five home runs and 17 RBIs in a doubleheader sweep of Jarvis Christian College. In the opener she hit a two-run and a three-run homer as well as a grand slam to set the school record with 11 RBIs. Through 22 games Mitchell had eight homers and 40 RBIs.
Jordan Holmes | Pittsburgh | Basketball
Holmes, a 6'1" senior forward at Denison, became the only Division III player to surpass career totals of 1,000 points, 1,500 rebounds and 500 blocked shots. She averaged 12.8 points and 15.3 rebounds this season and finished as the all-time leader in blocks (642) and boards (1,711). Holmes also holds the D-III record for triple doubles (six).
Parker Filius & Jase Stokes | Harve, Mont. | Wrestling
Parker and Jase, seniors at Harve High, are the second set of teammates to become four-time Montana champs in the same season. Parker pinned Columbia Falls's Ben Windauer in 1:24; Jase pinned Whitefish's Travis Catina in 1:57. Parker will wrestle at Purdue; Jase will play football at Montana Tech.
