Missouri Compromise

Michael Porter Jr. made FACES IN THE CROWD last year after leading his Elite AAU squad to a Nike Peach Jam title. This year the 6'9" small forward took his game to a new level. At Nathan Hale High in Seattle, Porter Jr., playing for former NBA All-Star Brandon Roy, averaged 36.2 points, 13.6 rebounds and 5.0 assists, as the Raiders went 29--0 to win the Class 3A title. For his efforts Porter was named the Naismith and the Gatorade Player of the Year. After committing to Washington last summer, Porter Jr. reopened his recruitment after the Huskies fired longtime coach Lorenzo Romar. He's now committed to Missouri. Said Porter, "I think we have a chance to do something special."
