Whit and Wisdom

In 2015, then-seventh-grader Whitney Osuigwe made FACES IN THE CROWD after upsetting the No. 1 seed to win the 12-year-old division at tennis's Junior Orange Bowl. Now a 10th-grader at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., Whitney is still coming up aces. To start the year she had back-to-back wins at the Asunción Bowl in Paraguay and the Banana Bowl in Brazil. At the Easter Bowl in Indian Wells, Calif., Whitney, along with partner Caty McNally of Cincinnati, won the doubles title 6--3, 7--6. She's come a long way since the start of her career, when she constantly tripped over her feet. The goal? Says the 14-year-old, "[I want] to be a pro and to win all four Grand Slam [events].
