WEST VIRGINIA

The West Virginia Sports Lottery Wagering Act became law in March, paving the way for sports betting in the state.

PENNSYLVANIA

Pennsylvania legalized online poker, gambling, daily fantasy sports and sports betting last October. The nonsports portions are set to launch later this year.

CONNECTICUT

The legislature passed a law in 2017 to begin studying gambling regulations. The state lottery said it's ready to start sports betting, and on Monday the governor and the House speaker said they'd consider a special session for a bill.

A dispute and a looming lawsuit between tribes and the legislature make a sports-betting bill unlikely anytime soon.

A sports gambling bill passed a House committee, but an April 17th legislative deadline passed with no further action.

A daily fantasy bill passed a House committee, but a pure sports-gambling bill was halted in the Senate.

MISSISSIPPI

A 2017 law set for the regulation of daily fantasy was modified to allow the Gaming Commission to regulate sports betting.
