NATHAN'S FAMOUS HOT DOG EATING CONTEST
July 4 at noon, ESPN2
A year after setting a record by devouring 72 hot dogs, the 10-time champ Joey Chestnut returns for another run at the most nauseating 10 minutes in sports. Says Chestnut, on his preparation for the Frankfest: "I try to make sure it's a whole month dedicated to hot dogs. I've been practicing with hot dogs since the end of April. Slowly building up my tolerance .... The day of the contest, it's amazing how much the weather plays a role. The weather in New York, it fluctuates so much. Some days it's humid, some days you have a thunderstorm. If the weather is good, I'm looking at more than 73. It definitely is possible."
